Dream Big (Or Small)

She was huge.

She could see it.

She could see the green expanse below her.

Mountains reached her shoulders where she lay.

And below she saw a town.

Sitting far below where she lay.

She spread out her hand and held it over the town. Blacking out their sky.

She could have ended it right there.

But no.

Why end the fun right there?

She could feel the warmth of another.

Finally.

She could feel the warmth.

Years in the water. In the cold embrace of her home.

She could feel the embrace.

Years alone. Too shy to be seen. To large to be held.

She could feel the comfort.

Hiding. Waiting. Watching. Sighing. Hoping.

Finally. She could feel it....

Had this idea earlier. Kind of wanted to try to draw big Lilith. But I wasn't very good at that so I also drew little Aisling. The two are dreaming, and they're dreaming fundamentally different things. Also two...I dunno. Poems? Short little experimental blurbs? Something. It's my first time trying something like that. And I dunno if it worked or not. But there it is.

Typically internet poetry ranges from average to very bad. I hope I fall somewhere in between. But that's not up to me to decide.

Speaking of first times, that's the my terrible attempt at a laying pose with the entire body. No idea if it worked. But it came out okay. I think. I dunno. It's not up to me.

Trying to iron out kinks in character and design. Emotional range. All that. In the end I think simply drawing characters I care about in different situations will bring out far more character than a simple text blurb. Show. Don't tell. All that jazz. Let's hope I can do just that.

Ugh. it's late. Why do I always write these when it's late?
